Currently they use the GPS 12 / 12XL but with the introduction of the GPS60 with it's huge track log capacity that's proven to be more popular. The application in mind where this is extremely useful is pest control where a foreman loads waypoints to his workers GPS units out in the field, without the need for any PC type device. However does anyone know if it's possible to simply transfer waypoints from one Garmin GPS60 to another GPS60? via direct cable? Garmin eTrex Legend Cx, Garmin eTrex Venture Cx, and Garmin eTrex Vista Cx can hold 500 waypoints. When I press ENTER, the waypoints are copied over in a few seconds. Garmin 60Cx, Garmin 60CSx, Garmin 76Cx, and GarminG 76CSx can hold 1000 waypoints. Then on the 12XL I select SETUP MENU > INTERFACE > SEND WPT? (this last group of operation options is just below the GRMN/GRMN format option). When I transfer waypoints from my 12XL to my map76, for example, I connect both units using the GPS-GPS data transfer cable, turn both on, and ensure that both have the Garmin interface selected.

Can you transfer waypoints from GPS to GPS on Garmin models such as the eMap, Etrex series, or GPS V? If so, what GPS menu option do you use? I have read the manuals for many of these models and have not seen this option mentioned.
